Get to Know Christmas on Mercer

Looking for holiday events the whole family will love? Check out the holiday happenings at Christmas on Mercer! The downtown area transforms into a hometown holiday festival featuring holiday shopping, arts and crafts booths, live entertainment, a petting zoo, trackless train, pony rides, children’s activities and more.

  • Visitors will feel the full spirit of the season with holiday music filling the air. While there will be no live music, there will be plenty of holiday music and Christmas carols piped in throughout the area.
  • While Santa will not be there due to social distancing at the North Pole, a special mail box to Santa will be available for letters to Santa and children will receive a letter from Santa in return. There will also be a photo-op-wall, where visitors can take a fun snapshot or create a family photo for their Christmas cards.
  • The Evening Portion Will Include a Virtual Tree Lighting! The annual tree lighting will be a virtual version of the beloved event. It takes place at dusk with caroling and more. Virtually, every Dripping Springs resident will be able to watch the festivities with their family,
    sipping hot cocoa from their comfy home.
  • Christmas on Mercer takes place on December 5th from 10 am-5 pm and is free to attend.

  • December 19th - Austin Flea at Vista Brewing- The Flea features all local handmade items and vintage wares from some of Austin's most amazing and talented vendors. Find one-of-a-kind gifts everyone on your list including jewelry, bath/body products, vintage, original artwork, paper goods, textiles and so much more!
  • Every weekend in December -Driftwood Lights at Holiday Trail at Vista Brewing - Vista has created a magical trail around Vista's 21-acres with Christmas lights, luminaries and holiday photo ops.
