Fall Festivals in Dripping Springs, TX

Fall will be here before we know it (WOOOO!) and if you feel like us, Fall is hands down the most amazing time of the year in the Hill Country. With it comes of course the cooler temps (YES!), pumpkin spiced everything and some of our most favorite festivals!

We’re counting down our top 3 favorite fall festivals in Dripping Springs beginning with the BEST wine and food festival in the area:

Dripping With Taste Wine and Food Festival is held on September 8 at the Dripping Springs Ranch Park. It’s more than just a wine and food festival, it’s a culinary experience! Spend an afternoon sampling the largest assortment of Texas wines, craft beers, gourmet foods and spirits available under one roof.

Over 80 vendors will be on hand to provide more than 2,500 Festival patrons a “taste” of a variety of distilled spirits, brewed fermentations, and local, fresh fare. There’s also live music, demos, artisan shopping, and one of our favorite Fall time Texas activities – grape stomping! By pre-purchasing tickets online, you can benefit from a $10 savings. Tickets at the gate are $50 on the day of the festival so we recommend snagging them beforehand to get that discount. Oh, and the festival sold out last year, so even more incentive to buy in advance.
Pioneer Day on September 22nd at the Dr. Pound Historical Farmstead is fun for the whole family. Have you ever wanted to be transported back in time? Well here’s your opportunity! The entire farmstead grounds are transformed into an 1800's-era experience: complete with live blue grass music, BBQ from Dripping Springs Cookoff Club, wagon rides, make-and-take crafts for the kids, shopping and over 40 demonstrators!

Pioneer Day features re-enactments, demonstrations, live music, BBQ and shopping. And if that’s not enough, they also will have civil-war reenactors, Great Promise PowWow, Buffalo Soldiers, Cen-Tex Model-T car club and much more. Take a docent- led tour of the museum and immerse yourself in the history and heritage of Dripping Springs. You can buy tickets online and save; early online admission is only $5.00. Admission at the gate: $7.50. It’s hard to beat all this family fun in one place for under $10 per ticket!

Dripping Springs Songwriters Festival is a music festival unlike any other. Historic Mercer Street is transformed into an immersive experience where you can have an up-close and personal chance to see, hear, and get to know some very talented performers who have a deep love of the art of songwriting. Walk between each of the venues (The Barber Shop Bar, Mazama Coffee Company, The Sidecar Tasting Room, Hudson’s On Mercer and Acopon Brewing Company) and watch over 30 shows a day by songwriters from all over the US and beyond on 5-stages all for FREE.

The 5th-annual event is all about finely-crafted SONGS, and the talented folks who have written them. The Dripping Springs Songwriters festival is October 19-21 and takes place from morning until evening.
